Nathan and Adiona met while going through their undergraduate education at UW-Madison through friends, go Badgers!! They started dating long distance, before Nathan got a promotion that moved Adiona closer to the Milwaukee area! Nathan and Adiona have been together for over five years!! During this time they have experienced so much together like buying a home and getting their dog, Loki!! In May one of Adiona friends invited her to a girls day in Madison, WI. She thought it would be a great idea if their significant others and puppies would spend the day at the terrace!! They decided before going to the spa, to take hike to picnic point! Where Nate proposed Adiona. After the proposal, he suggested they go to the terrace to have a few celebratory drinks! When they arrived all of their loved ones were waiting! He had planned an engagement party after the proposal at one of Adiona’s favorite places in the world!

We met for a wellness profile, he signed up as a member, and we got him started on a program. We started talking daily via FB messenger and later text. He always said the sweetest things and truly knocked me off my feet. If you ask him, it was hard work getting me to open up to him. He was constantly finding ways to get into my world; he even offered to be my golfing partner as I was still learning how to golf (an activity we love doing together now). When I met with him to "check in" on how his program was going, he asked me to dinner. We went to dinner that week and ended up at the same wedding a week later where we danced the night away. We made it official on 10/9/16. Fast forward 363 days and Nick completely shocked me with the proposal. He had gotten the ring weeks before, had gotten permission from my parents, showed his family the ring, and planned a surprise engagement with my closest friends and family. Little did I know, he had every detail planned out and as we arrived, he had the garage door opener, opened the garage, and out walked 20 of our closest friends and family -- cameras and phones in hand. He proposed in the very spot of our first kiss with our song playing in the background, just 2 days before our official one-year anniversary. He had every single detail planned out. It was truly a surprise and a beautiful moment.

Alexis and Andrew met using a popular online dating website and had their first date on New Year's Eve (Dec 2014). They rang in the New Year at a place called Will's Northwoods Inn, it's one of very few Green Bay Packer establishments in the heart of Chicago. Alexis and Andrew both grew up in NE Wisconsin and joke that it took moving to Chicago to meet each other. I recently photographed their wedding in Chicago and I can't wait for the wedding in May at Badger State Brewing. 

Brittnie and Ryan met at work! Brittnie is an ER nurse and Ryan is a Fire Fighter/Paramedic and also a nurse at the same hospital. I'm lucky enough to call them my friends and I've enjoyed watching their love grow. Brittnie and Ryan's Green Bay WI wedding will be amazing! I can't wait to photograph their special day. 

This beautiful couple is from Texas! It seems right that I blog their Wisconsin engagement session as I leave for Houston TX tomorrow for photo shoots! We picked Holy Hill because Richard and McKinnon wanted fall photos! They don't get fall like this in Texas. 

Our second location was just outside of Holy Hill, you can see the Church in the background on top of the hill. It looks just like a castle! AND McKinnon looks like princess with her beautiful long hair and my glittery dress.

Brittney and Nick met when they were in little a summer softball league. Nick's dad was the coach and for several years and Brittney was always picked to be on Nick's team.  In high school they  reconnected at a friend's party and started dating the summer Brittney graduated high school! 💗 Next year they get married in Brillion Wisconsin. 

Deanna and Time met in college where they both swam on the swim team.

"When I met him I knew there was something about him and we were going to end up together. Started dating about 3 months into college and have been together since (9 years). I actually knew of Tim when we were younger (he was a really great swimmer and one of the top in the state). I would always hear his name being called as the winner so of course I would watch him swim and watch him after his races. When I heard we were going to the same college I was really excited to get to know him as a person. I would also tell my college room mates that I could see Tim and I marrying one day...and here we are" - Deanna

Deanna and Tim's wedding is my first for 2018! I can't wait to photograph their wedding at Gather On Broadway. 

"We both knew that this was something special from the start.  He literally loves me unconditionally. He makes me a better person and he is my other half. When Michael proposed, obviously I said yes. Unfortunately, I sort of knew it was coming as I had picked out the ring myself and knew where it was “hidden.” I’d check the hiding spot everyday to see if it was still there or if Michael had moved it for the sake of a proposal. We’d always joked about putting the ring in food as that is something we really bond over (specifically tacos and ice cream) and I suppose I had a hunch that he would actually do it. One day, I was sitting on the couch, watching Netflix when he walked out of the bedroom with a bag of peanut butter M&M’s. As those are my favorite, he poured a few in my hand and out popped the ring! I had to ask if he was serious a few times over and finish chewing as PB M&M’s are high on my priority list. I sort of stared at him for a few moments as he smirked and then finally got down on one knee. It was perfect, simple, romantic, and totally us. We aren’t super flashy or fancy people so doing it in the comfort of our 1st home together over a bag of my favorite candy was absolutely perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal." - Alli

Megan and Jacob meet each other in grade school and even played on the same soccer team when he was in 7th grade and she was in 8th. Megan said she was terrible and Jacob's dad was one of the coaches. But it wasn't until his junior year and her senior that they really started talking. Jacob sent a simple "Hey!" text and that's what started it all. They enjoy taking care of their pigs, chickens, farm cats, and dog Mocha. (Megan says:) I love that he's always been a hard worker and that he loves his job as a farmer; and although that means his schedule can be unpredictable and there are times when we barely get to see each other in summer, those nights when I can ride in the tractor with him are my favorite....... (Jacob says:) I love that she is willing to take care of all the animals and is not scared to get dirty. She deals with my busy schedule and when I'm not home she can take care of everything.

icole and Dylan met at work when they were 16 years old. They have been together for 7 years!! Recently purchased a house and getting married this October. 

A quick mini engagement session at the family farm! I'm so thankful that Cassie and Josh along with Josh's grandparents for allowing me to photograph a few Spring sessions at the family farm. The apple blossoms and sunset was gorgeous for every session. ALSO how does this dress look at Cassie!?! It's mine :) I love sharing my clothes with clients and also my favorite shops online. With three children and a crazy schedule everything is bought online! This dress is from Nordstrom it also has pockets! 

I recently photographed this apple blossom engagement session for Emily and Chris! Right now Eliza (Emily's sister) is watching two of my three children, giving me time to sit down and blog their Madison engagement session. I can't wait to photograph their July wedding at Mount Olive Lutheran Church and Warner Park Community Recreation Center.

I could have photographed Megan and Mike ALL DAY!! Their love for each other is irresistible! Megan and Mike could have stood in the same spot and I would have a million photos within minutes. They recently moved to Green Bay from California and planning a beautiful October wedding at Gather on Broadway, a new Green Bay wedding venue. I'm beyond excited to photograph their wedding! 

I had so much fun at Becky and Mike's Door County beach engagement session! 

Mike and Becky found each other on an online dating website. After talking for about 1 week,  they met at a small, hole in the wall craft beer bar with board games. Becky & Mike talked effortlessly and had wonderful time. Becky loves Mike's kindness, selflessness, love of traveling, and how well he fit in with her family from the start. Mike loves Becky's kindness, humor, compassion, and cooking. :)

Soooo many amazing photos from Tara and Zack's Milwaukee engagement session at Doctors Park! I had the hardest time deciding the photos to share on this blog post so ... I'm over sharing!

Zack and Tara met at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. They met at a friend's birthday dinner and the very next day they both went on the same trip to Chicago through an accounting organization. Zack and Tara found out that they were both trying to get into the same masters of accountancy program. Over the next several months while Zack and Tara were getting to know each other, Tara woo-ed him with her baking abilities. They hung out constantly, but never talked about dating until a few months later.  Zack said "Would you consider us dating?" and Tara replied "yeah" and that was that. They spent then next two years in all the same accounting classes and coincidentally got offers to intern at the same accounting firm in Chicago. Now they have been working at that same firm for almost two and a half years together.
