Barkhausen and Olde 41 Wedding

August 28th I photographed Brook and Josh get married at Barkhausen Preserve in Green Bay Wisconsin. This preserve is amazing! The tree covered trails came in handy when it started rain right after ceremony! This wedding ceremony was absolutely beautiful! I have never seen sooo many adults cry, seriously not a dry eye!...especially the male guests!

Brook's brother planned and decorated almost everything for the day the bouquets, buttoners, wristlets and even the table arrangements which he grew in his backyard ...in Ohio!! Then he stepped in as the Man of Honor.

The entire wedding day was special. The most beautiful thing about the wedding day was that the rain held off until immediately after the ceremony. Josh and Brook both have lost a parent, he lost his father and she lost her mother. So they had been praying that their parents would do whatever they could to keep the rain from ruining our ceremony. They proved Brook and Josh right. Even when it did start to rain, it was a very light drizzle – they were letting us know they were there.

A note from the bride about how her and Josh met...

" Josh and I met at a bonfire with mutual friends on the 3rd of July. I knew it was a setup, he didn’t. We barely spoke that night but ran in to each other a few more times in the next week. We started talking slowly, I dropped a few hints that I was interested and he wasn’t picking up on them. A few days later was my birthday so I told him it would be a really great birthday present if he would take me out of dinner…he finally got the hint. "
