On December 16th 2016 at 35 weeks pregnant Kelli was told “you have cancer”.  Kelli was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma and their lives were flipped upside down. The tumor in her chest was compressing her pulmonary artery and putting too much pressure on Kelli's heart so she was sent to Sinai to deliver, 5 weeks early. After delivery Kelli was transferred to St. Luke's Cardiovascular ICU where she spent 5 days receiving her first round of chemo and stabilized her heart condition. After a total of 12 days in the hospital Kelli was finally released and got to meet baby Lincoln for the first time, 7 days after he was born. Lincoln Matthew spent 7 days in the NICU at Sinai and was able to come home, he is thriving and is just perfect! Kelli is now on the road to recovery with 5 days of inpatient chemotherapy every 3 weeks for a total of 6 rounds. After completely 20 sessions of radiation she is now in remission!!!!

In April 2016 I photographed their wedding, September 2016 I revealed to Kelli and Jay they were having BOY !  In January 2017 I photographed Lincoln's newborn session shortly after Kelli was released from the hospital. It was also the day Jay shaved her hair off. In July I photographed Lincoln for his 6 month birthday. I'm so thankful that Kelli and Jay continue to let me document the important moments of their life and family. Here's Lincoln's first birthday session. I photographed Kelli, Jay and Lincoln in my NEW studio. 2017 was a long, stressful but an amazing year. I can't describe better then Kelli, so years what she post on Lincoln's birthday.

"He came into this world in complete chaos and from that second has been a true warrior. He loves to eat, explore the world with one finger, crawl but is working on walking, sleeps like a champ and his new favorite word is mama!!! The past year has been tough but I’m so unbelievably happy to be here for his 1st Birthday." -Kelli
