Sharing a little personal post here about how my family spent the 4th of July! My most favorite holiday of year! It's what gets me through these lonnnnnng Wisconsin winters! Normally my little family .. Husband David, Myself, My 13 year old son, 9 year old daughter and 4 year old son spend the 4th with friends. Pontooning on the river, grilling out, kayaking, and ending the night with our own firework display! But this year David's family organized a reunion. Not gonna lie I was a little sad we didn't get to carry on with our normal family tradition but all couples must compromise right? So a 2 hour drive with all 3 kids, husband and dog off to Fox Lake we went to Uncle Bill's.
I'm so glad we did too! I met more family this year some traveled from California, Texas, Rhode Island and of course Wisconsin. Some of this family even drove an RV from Texas for 23 hrs!! CRAAA ZZYYYY!! Some don't have Facebook (ummm... what the h !!). It's always nice seeing how all the kids grow and change over the year! OF COURSE I brought my fancy camera and towards the end of the reunion I brought her out to capture memories of this once a year event!
Finally we ended the reunion with a quick stop at the cemetery to pay respect to David's grandparents, the two people that created this family and the reason we celebrate family and life!
Until 2016 !!
