"Chris and I met at Camp LuWiSoMo during a winter church retreat in January 2013. While we talked and got to know each other a bit, nothing came of our newfound friendship besides exchanging phone numbers. As the weeks passed, we kept bumping into each other at Calvary Lutheran Church in Madison, WI. This eventually lead to walking to church together, as our apartments in Madison were near by. Our first official date consisted of riding bikes and playing catch at a nearby park. We shared stories, giggles, and our love for being outside. As the dates continued, we also continued sharing our time together outdoors--biking, rollerblading, downhill and cross-country skiing, and eventually camping and hiking. We still love to do these activities together, and have since included more fishing (per Chris), more running (per Emily), and kayaking."

Read More"We both knew that this was something special from the start. He literally loves me unconditionally. He makes me a better person and he is my other half. When Michael proposed, obviously I said yes. Unfortunately, I sort of knew it was coming as I had picked out the ring myself and knew where it was “hidden.” I’d check the hiding spot everyday to see if it was still there or if Michael had moved it for the sake of a proposal. We’d always joked about putting the ring in food as that is something we really bond over (specifically tacos and ice cream) and I suppose I had a hunch that he would actually do it. One day, I was sitting on the couch, watching Netflix when he walked out of the bedroom with a bag of peanut butter M&M’s. As those are my favorite, he poured a few in my hand and out popped the ring! I had to ask if he was serious a few times over and finish chewing as PB M&M’s are high on my priority list. Read MoreIn July I photographed baby Brody, he was only 6 hours old! Heather looked amazing, like always and Kevin was so excited to be a daddy. Fast forward 4 weeks when I photographed Brody's newborn session... it's amazing how fast they grow and change in only one month.
Brody was born at Aurora Hospital in Two Rivers weighing 8lbs 3 oz. He had the biggest hands I've photographed for a newborn. Perfect for football and wrestling ;)
Read MoreBecky and Mike live in Chicago and had their first date at local craft beer bar. They spent hours talking and quickly had a second date. Becky & Mike found that they had a lot in common. They have been together for 3 and 1/2 years and spent most of those years making many trips up to Wisconsin. Door county is one of their favorite places, when they started planning their wedding Becky and Mike knew they wanted a Door county wedding. Mike's family has been going to Door county starting with his grandma when she was a kid. Since meeting Mike, Becky has loved their weekends in Wisconsin and they have shared so many wonderful memories already.

I'm sure you will never see this because who honestly looks at the back of a photo in a frame, but that's the point. Today is August 28th 2012. 4 days before you leave to go back to Eau Claire for your Junior year. You're still undecided with what you want to finish in but I know you will choose the right thing either way. I don't know when you will see this... 3 days, 3 years or 30 years but some day you will see this. Maybe on our wedding day.. I know it will come because you are the one for me. In April 2016 I photographed their wedding, September 2016 I revealed to Kelli and Jay they were having BOY ! In January 2017 I photographed Lincoln's newborn session shortly after Kelli was released from the hospital. It was also the day Jay shaved her hair off. I'm so thankful that Kelli and Jay continue to let me document the important moments of their life and family.
Read MoreMegan and Jacob meet each other in grade school and even played on the same soccer team when he was in 7th grade and she was in 8th. Megan said she was terrible and Jacob's dad was one of the coaches. But it wasn't until his junior year and her senior that they really started talking. Jacob sent a simple "Hey!" text and that's what started it all. They enjoy taking care of their pigs, chickens, farm cats, and dog Mocha. (Megan says:) I love that he's always been a hard worker and that he loves his job as a farmer; and although that means his schedule can be unpredictable and there are times when we barely get to see each other in summer, those nights when I can ride in the tractor with him are my favorite....... (Jacob says:) I love that she is willing to take care of all the animals and is not scared to get dirty. She deals with my busy schedule and when I'm not home she can take care of everything.
