St. John's Northwestern Military Academy Wedding

St. John's Northwestern Military Academy Wedding

Tiffany and Trent met in college. They love to travel and currently live in Texas, as you can imagine planning a wedding from another state can be difficult. They did an amazing job!! The ceremony was at St. John's Northwestern Military Academy where Trent went to high school, gorgeous church and property. Unfortunately it rained most of the day, but we found the perfect place for the bridal party photos. The florals, cake and decor were beautiful.

Kyle and Kelsey met at UW-Madison- both were in the same accounting program in school. Kyle played hard to get for a while, but they eventually connected and started going on dates! After college they both moved to different cities, Kyle to Milwaukee and Kelsey to Minneapolis. They continued to visit each other and date long distance. After 2 years, Kyle and Kelsey knew their relationship was worth making a move for, so Kelsey moved to Milwaukee to be with Kyle. After moving in together and many wonderful memories, Kyle proposed on Father's Day in front of Kelsey’s entire family down by Lake Michigan in Sheboygan!

One of cutest families ever! I love looking through all the photos of the Wilke family before I edit because little Charlotte has a different face in every photo. I’m pretty sure that Johanna and Lyla will be models when they grow. Jenny and Brian do an amazing job of making every session fun!

I absolutely LOVE when the Eck family schedules a session! I love seeing the girls grow and change between every session. This time they scheduled a studio session. Grace is 18 months and Olivia is 5 going on 18 ;) I love how you can see Olivia’s free spirit and wild personality in every.single.photo. Grace was more interested in her snacks. :D

Tim proposed with an exciting scavenger hunt with bottled notes that required a new cipher for each clue. The clues led them on a trip down memory lane of all the significant moments of their relationship and ended with Tim proposing at Pasadena City Hall. Tim and Danielle love spending time together walking their dog Misty, spending time outdoors hiking or riding bicycles together, and enjoy playing music together. They have also enjoyed fixing up our new house like  Chip and Joanna Gaines! I'm so excited that I was able to photograph Tim and Danielle's wedding day as they continue this journey of life together as newlyweds!

Manitowoc Wisconsin Sunset Engagement Photos | Allison and Nick

We met for a wellness profile, he signed up as a member, and we got him started on a program. We started talking daily via FB messenger and later text. He always said the sweetest things and truly knocked me off my feet. If you ask him, it was hard work getting me to open up to him. He was constantly finding ways to get into my world; he even offered to be my golfing partner as I was still learning how to golf (an activity we love doing together now). When I met with him to "check in" on how his program was going, he asked me to dinner. We went to dinner that week and ended up at the same wedding a week later where we danced the night away. We made it official on 10/9/16. Fast forward 363 days and Nick completely shocked me with the proposal. He had gotten the ring weeks before, had gotten permission from my parents, showed his family the ring, and planned a surprise engagement with my closest friends and family. Little did I know, he had every detail planned out and as we arrived, he had the garage door opener, opened the garage, and out walked 20 of our closest friends and family -- cameras and phones in hand. He proposed in the very spot of our first kiss with our song playing in the background, just 2 days before our official one-year anniversary. He had every single detail planned out. It was truly a surprise and a beautiful moment.

When we planned a beach extended family session we didn't expect fog to roll in just as we started the session. BUT I love how the fog softened the background. The Menges family organized this session to document their family, at a place they love before Mike, Stephanie and the boys move to Arizona. We all enjoyed having Stephanie as a teacher in the community and I will miss taking photos of the boys... maybe this means I should travel to AZ during Winter for their session. ;)
