We met for a wellness profile, he signed up as a member, and we got him started on a program. We started talking daily via FB messenger and later text. He always said the sweetest things and truly knocked me off my feet. If you ask him, it was hard work getting me to open up to him. He was constantly finding ways to get into my world; he even offered to be my golfing partner as I was still learning how to golf (an activity we love doing together now). When I met with him to "check in" on how his program was going, he asked me to dinner. We went to dinner that week and ended up at the same wedding a week later where we danced the night away. We made it official on 10/9/16. Fast forward 363 days and Nick completely shocked me with the proposal. He had gotten the ring weeks before, had gotten permission from my parents, showed his family the ring, and planned a surprise engagement with my closest friends and family. Little did I know, he had every detail planned out and as we arrived, he had the garage door opener, opened the garage, and out walked 20 of our closest friends and family -- cameras and phones in hand. He proposed in the very spot of our first kiss with our song playing in the background, just 2 days before our official one-year anniversary. He had every single detail planned out. It was truly a surprise and a beautiful moment.

When we planned a beach extended family session we didn't expect fog to roll in just as we started the session. BUT I love how the fog softened the background. The Menges family organized this session to document their family, at a place they love before Mike, Stephanie and the boys move to Arizona. We all enjoyed having Stephanie as a teacher in the community and I will miss taking photos of the boys... maybe this means I should travel to AZ during Winter for their session. ;)

Alexis and Andrew met using a popular online dating website and had their first date on New Year's Eve (Dec 2014). They rang in the New Year at a place called Will's Northwoods Inn, it's one of very few Green Bay Packer establishments in the heart of Chicago. Alexis and Andrew both grew up in NE Wisconsin and joke that it took moving to Chicago to meet each other. I recently photographed their wedding in Chicago and I can't wait for the wedding in May at Badger State Brewing.

Aurora Two Rivers Hospital Birth | Eleanor Rae

Aurora Two Rivers Hospital Birth | Eleanor Rae

My cousin Sam had her FOURTH and final girl ! Today was suppose to be Eleanor's birthday, but the doctor decided Monday Eleanor needed to be delivered early. When I arrived to the hospital, thinking that I was going to take photos after the c-section. That changed and I was allowed in the operating room!! GAHHH!!! You guys... I love to photograph birth's. I personally think these photos are more important then newborn sessions. BUT...I'm also not a newborn photographer. I love that I can provide mom and dad photos, so dad can focus on being there for mom.

Eleanor was born on her Great-Grandma Helen's birthday. She was at least 1 lb bigger then all of her sisters. I stayed after the birth to watch Eleanor's 3 big sisters see her for the first time. They were all so excited to see baby!

Why Monat has changed my life ...

Why Monat has changed my life ...

I started using Monat in mid June. After having a hysterectomy December of 2015 my hormones changed and I started losing hair. A LOT of hair!! My hair even changed texture. I've always had long, frizzy/dry hair. It was growing like crazy. BUT after the hysterectomy my hair started thinning, would get really greasy and stopped growing. I saw my OBGYN, 2 Endocrinologist, Dermatologist and a Holistic Doctor. They ran every blood test possible but everything came back normal. It's a side effect of the hysterectomy and stress.

St. Norbert Old St. Joe's Wedding and Chateau De Pere Reception

December 29th 2017 they got married at Old St Joe's Parish at St. Norbert college, surrounded by 30 family members and friends. As soon as Thomas saw Hayley he immediately started crying, it was the sweetest moment ever! You can feel the love and joy in every photo. After the ceremony they welcomed guests to Chateau De Pere for dinner. Hayley never wanted a large wedding, she always envisioned a dinner. The room was full of beautiful flowers, greenery by Ebb N Flow with GOLD accents. My favorite part...the amazing macarons by Almond & Ivy.

Surrogate Birth of Twins! Aurora Baycare Hospital Green Bay WI

December 29th 2017 at 32 weeks, Sara gave birth to two boys, Buck Thomas (5lbs) and Brody Daniel (4lbs 4oz)! The boys are doing well. However, because they are premature, they are needing some help breathing since their lungs aren’t fully developed. The boys are in good hands at the Aurora Baycare NICU and will remain here for the next few weeks. Sara is a true trooper and she is doing great! I don’t think the smile ever vanished from her face, even during labor!"

The Burke family stopped by the NEW studio yesterday for last minute holiday family session. Brandon works with my husband, so Friday night I still had one open slot for mini sessions and asked if he and his family wanted a few pics. Sadly Brandon's oldest daughter isn't here for the holiday's so we will just have to take more photos soon!

Something NEW !!!!

Something NEW !!!!

After a year of planning and talking to my husband about what my goals for 2018 would be..I decided I wanted to try something new! I wanted to book less weddings keeping it around 18 a year AND find a studio/office space. To be honest for the last 6 years I have worked on a laptop from the couch, kitchen table, coffee shop, car, airport but most of the time my bed. My equipment has taken over my house AND I need a designed office space. I have struggled with work/family hours. Also with the Wisconsin winters that typically last from Nov 1st to April..some years even May. I need a place where I can still take photos, with amazing lighting and details during Winter.
